Mission & Vision

Mission:

Drowning is the leading cause of death for children in the state of Florida. We want to change that.

We want to create a world where swimming is accessible to all, empowering individuals of every ability to develop this essential skill for lifelong well-being and safety. To meet that goal, we are expanding the pool at Cady Way Park in Winter Park, Florida. By building a new 50m pool, we can provide additional swim lessons for an estimated 7,000 children throughout the year.

In addition to the swim lessons, the pool provides space to develop lifelong swimmers, through recreational swimming, lap swimming, club swimming, and swim camps and meets. The pool currently hosts training and swimming for Special Olympics and for USA Down Syndrome swimmers.

Although the pool will be maintained by the City of Winter Park, this is a resident-initiated project with the fundraising and construction of the pool is being done by the Winter Park Blue Dolfins Foundation, Inc. Click here to learn more about this project.
