Our Mission:

Our mission is to make swimming a universal life skill in our community. We believe swimming is more than a safety measure—it is foundational to lifelong health and well-being. Stronger communities start in the water!

Our 4 Pillars:

1: Safety

Ensuring every child and adult—regardless of background or ability—has access to essential swim skills for safety and confidence in and around the water.

  • Monthly free swim lessons and water safety for children and adults

  • Learn-to-swim lesson program in conjunction with the City of Winter Park

  • Spread awareness about water safety with the help of community partners, such the City of Winter Park, Orange County Schools, and Orlando Health

2: Accessibility

Developing and maintaining inclusive, accessible aquatic facilities that welcome and serve our entire community.

  • Ensuring current community pools are up to date with safety standards and accessibility

  • Providing support for lifeguard training, instruction, and other water safety information

  • Expanding the number community pools in the Central Florida area

Who needs access to a public pool? The current public pools are some of the most used public athletic facilities in the City of Winter Park:

  • Learn-to-Swim Programs: The City of Winter Park as well as USA swim teams provide swim lessons and training for infants through adults.

  • Competitive Swim Programs: Two different year-round USA swim clubs, which train over 200 Winter Park families, use the pool daily.

  • Life-Saving Programs: Water safety certification, CPR, and other life-saving programs are administered at the pool.

  • Special Needs Programs: Special Olympics, Down Syndrome Swimming, private lessons, and other specialty programs utilize the pool.

  • Summer Swim Camps: The City provides a fun, safe environment for children during the summer.

  • Police, Fire, and Military Training: Several departments utilize the pool for training and certification.

  • Open Swim: Lap swimming and recreational family play time.

3: Participation

Providing inclusive opportunities for individuals of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to engage in swimming for health, fitness, and enjoyment throughout their lives.

  • Spring and Summer Swim Leagues

  • USA Club swimming and USMS masters swimming

  • High school swimming

  • Special Olympics and Down Syndrome swimming

4:Opportunity

Removing financial barriers so individuals of all backgrounds and abilities can access swim lessons, programs, and continued participation at every stage of life.

  • Monthly free swim lessons

  • Scholarships based on financial need to participate in USA club swimming

  • Scholarships based on merit for continued swimming opportunities such as collegiate swimming

Our Current Capital Campaign

We are currently raising funds to revitalize the Cady Way complex. This is a resident-driven public-private venture between the City of Winter Park and the Winter Park Blue Dolfins Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and valued community partners like Orlando Health. Hundreds of residents have already donated to make this project a reality.
