Not every child has access to swim lessons or safe bodies of water in which to learn. This is why we are focused on making a dent in drowning rates.

Our Guiding Principals

1: Safety

Ensuring every child and adult—regardless of background or ability—has access to essential swim skills for safety and confidence in and around the water.

  • Monthly free swim lessons and water safety for children and adults

  • Learn-to-swim lesson program in conjunction with the City of Winter Park

  • Spread awareness about water safety with the help of community partners, such the City of Winter Park, Orange County Schools, and Orlando Health

2: Opportunity

Removing financial barriers so individuals of all backgrounds and abilities can access swim lessons, programs, and continued participation at every stage of life.

  • Monthly free swim lessons

  • Scholarships based on financial need to participate in USA club swimming

  • Scholarships based on merit for continued swimming opportunities such as collegiate swimming

3: Accessibility

Developing and maintaining inclusive, accessible aquatic facilities that welcome and serve our entire community.

  • Ensuring current community pools are up to date with safety standards and accessibility

  • Providing support for lifeguard training, instruction, and other water safety information

  • Expanding the number community pools in the Central Florida area

  • Summer Swim Camps: The City provides a fun, safe environment for children during the summer.

  • Police, Fire, and Military Training: Several departments utilize the pool for training and certification.
