Start in the Water

Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 4 and under.

We want to change that.

"Swimming is a life skill. Learning to swim is the best way to equip yourself and your children with the tools they need to succeed."

Our Capital Project: Cady Way Park

Reviving a Landmark. Inspiring a Legacy.

We are focused on creating a complex to better meet our needs as a foundation while also serving all residents of Winter Park. Early focus groups reported additional pool space, new sports facilities, and expanded green space as the resident priorities. Our goal is to preserve the charm of Winter Park while looking to the future. With the addition of more pool space, we’ll be able to offer swim lessons to thousands more children — helping to save lives, promote fitness, and build a lifelong love of the water.

This is a resident-driven public-private venture between the City of Winter Park and the Winter Park Blue Dolfins Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and valued community partners like Orlando Health. Hundreds of residents have already donated to make this project a reality.
